Judy Martin
Emmy-award winning broadcast journalist, Judy Martin, walks between two worlds: covering the mainstream nature of business news – while emerging as a writer and speaker on personal transformation, social consciousness and work life culture.
Judy’s work can be best described in the words of eastern poet and philosopher Rabindranath Tagore, “We gain our freedom when we attain our truest nature.” Her belief is that the evolution of consciousness is influenced when personal passion and right livelihood intersect. She sees that as the genesis which can transform the idea of work into meaningful vocation.
For Judy, exalting the human experience at work and in business can fuel a radical shift in the way we approach global economic and social concerns. She’s working with the Source of Synergy Foundation to jump start a collective conversation in the media on the infusion of a more conscious approach to our human capital.
From that commitment her blog was born: WorkLifeNation.com – Success, Serenity & Significance 24/7, where she covers breaking news on work life culture and conscious business practices.
Judy spent nearly four years as a NYC Correspondent for America Public Media’s Marketplace Morning Report where she reported live from Ground Zero after 9/11. She also volunteered with the children of the victims and subsequently became a hospice volunteer.
Judy's work has been heard on CNBC Business Radio, NPR, BBC Radio 3, and the World Vision Report. She received a National Press Foundation Economic Fellowship in 2000. Among her awards: New York Emmy, Telly Award, and Associated Press Club Award. www.worklifenation.com
